2004
February 24, 2004 - the next session of CIBC members took place in Baku, continuing the theme "Ecologic aspects of industrial activity, operation and transportation of power resources in the countries of Caspian region". The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Husseingulu Bagirov was presiding the meeting.
February 24-26, 2004 - CIBC took part at TURKIOG 2004 exhibition (Istanbul, Turkey, ITE Group).
March 4, 2004 - the next session of CIBC members took place in Baku. Making a speech at CIBC session the Director of Business-Center of BP Azerbaijan Company Azer Zeynalov spoke about the role of BP Company in development of small- and middle-scale business in Azerbaijan and creating conditions for their participation in tenders.
Making a speech at the second part of CIBC session the Director of Trade-Economic Department of Israel embassy Rafael Abbasov spoke about the role of Israel companies and investors in development of Azerbaijan's non-oil sector (tourism, telecommunication, and infrastructure). At the moment, Abbasov mentioned, there were some preconditions for development of Azerbaijan-Israel relations.
March 10, 2004 - CIBC members met with the Director of Baku representative office of the World Bank (WB) Mr. Ahmad Jahani in Baku. The meeting on May 10 was dedicated to the perspectives of the World Bank's activity with the purpose of developing the non-oil sector in Azerbaijan, mainly - the small- and middle-scale business and bank sector of the country.
March 17-20, 2004 - CIBC took part at Interoilgas exhibition (Kiev, Ukraine, Autoexpo)
March 17, 2004 - Russian Federation President's Special Representative for Caspian region issues, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Victor Kalhuzhniy met with Azerbaijani and foreign businessmen - CIBC members. Victo Kalyuzhniy is CIBC co-chair from Russian Federation. The session was dedicated to development of Azerbaijani-Russian economic and business relations. An extempore press-conference took place at the session as well where Victor Kalyuzhniy answered the journalists' numerous questions together with Azerbaijan President's Special Representative for Caspian Sea Khalaf Khalafov and the sector director of Azerbaijan President's Office Rustam Mammadov.
March 18-19, 2004 - CIBC took part at the GIOGIE exhibition (Tbilisi, Georgia, ITE Group)
April 7-9, 2004 - CIBC took part at the North-Caspian regional exhibition "Oil and Gas" (Atirau, Kazakhstan, ITE Group)
April 19, 2004 CIBC representative Rasim Mahmudov took part at the third annual conference of oil and gas traders of CIS countries (Moscow, Russia, Eco-Techniques Consulting Ltd)
April 22, 2004 - Azerbaijani and foreign businessmen met with the secretary assistant for Europe in Commercial Department of US International Trade Administration Eric Stuart at BP business-center in the frames of CIBC.
April 28, 2004 - CIBC members met with Germany ambassador to Azerbaijan Claus Grevlikh at the International press-center, which informed the businessmen about the work implemented in view of widening Azerbaijani-German relations. The possibility of establishing Caspian Auto Club in the frames of CIBC was also discussed. Motor-car dealers and distributors were taking part at the session.
April 29, 2004 - CIBC members met with the Director of Economic Department of Israel Foreign Ministry for Eurasian and Eastern European issues Shamuel Ravel. The meeting was dedicated to Azerbaijani-Israel cooperation. The representatives of governmental structures, public organizations and the companies' leaders were taking part at the event.
May 12-14, 2004 - CIBC took part at OGU exhibition (Tashkent, Uzbekistan, ITE Group)
May 15, 2004 -Caspian IT & Communications Club was presented at the International press-centre (Baku) which had been established in the frames of Caspian Integration Business (Oil and Service) Club (CIBC). Igor Yakovenko was appointed the President of Caspian IT & Communications Club.
May 20, 2004 - Caspian Transport & Logistics Club which had been established in the frames of CIBC was presented during the annual Trans Caspian 2004 exhibition. The executive secretary of the intergovernmental TRACECA commission's constant secretariat, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Zviad Kvatchantiradzeh was appointed the president of Caspian Transport & Logistics Club.
May 27-29, 2004 - CIBC took part at "Oil. Gas" exhibition (Astrakhan, Russia, Apex)
May 31, 2004 - At the International press-centre CIBC members met with the Director Commerce of US Commercial Department's Protection Centre Mr. Daniel Bloom, the Commercial Representative of BISNIS, US Commercial Department's Manager for the country Mr. Chang Suh, the Regional Manager (Turkey, Russia and Central Asia) of US Commercial Department's Protection Centre Mr. Sam Newman and the representative of US BISNIS Commercial Department Mr. Bakhtiyar Mammadov. The theme of the meeting was the opportunities for widening Azerbajani-American business cooperation in the sphere of small- and middle-scale business development.
The intention for establishing Caspian Energy Production Company was announced at the event which will be engaged in creation of telecasts and films.
June 1-4, 2004 - CIBC took part at "Oil, gas, petroleum refining and pertochemistry of Caspian - 2004" exhibition (Baku, Azerbaijan, Caspian Events Ltd). The jubilee issue of the magazine was presented to AR President Ilham Aliev on the first day of the exhibition.
June 21-25, 2004 - CIBC took part at Moscow international exhibition "Oil-and-gas 2004" (Moscow, Russia Expocentre)
June 22-24, 2004 - CIBC took part at "Russian Oil-and-Gas Congress" exhibition (Moscow, Russian ITE Group)
September 17, 2004 - CIBC holiday event took place in Europe Hotel dedicated to 10-year jubilee of signing the Contract of the Century. The session differed from the previous session of CIBC, that day the branch-wise Clubs' management presented the new members of the Clubs with certificates. If earlier only one person was leading, today a Council of presidents is functioning; each of them understands the importance and chances of developing the branches in which they work.
CIBC President T. Aliev informed the participants that Caspian Integration Business Club and International Publishing House Caspian Energy started implementation of the new project related with opening of new work places - an informational basis for persons wishing to find a job, and companies wishing to get specialists for their branches. The second project is issue of Business Class magazine. This magazine will have broad scope and narrate about business and businessmen, and will be extended not only in Azerbaijan, but in Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Europe as well.
October 5-8, 2004 - CIBC took part at KIOGE-2004 exhibition (Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan, ITE Group). Club's representatives met with the leaders of business circles.
October 15, 2004 - a session of Caspian IT & Communications Club in the frames of CIBC took place at the International press-centre with participation of the Advisor for technical issues of Azerbaijan Ministry of communication and Informational Technology Iltimas Mammadov. At the session it was announced that RF Minister of Economic development and Trade German Gref had been appointed the chairman of CIBC from Russia, and his assistant - Andrey Sharonov had been appointed the constant representative of CIBC.
November 11, 2004 - the first session of FBI (Finance, Banking & Insurance) under Azerbaijan president took place at the International press-centre with Heydar Babaev's participation, the chairman of the State Committee for Securities (SCS). The development perspectives of Secirities market in Azerbaijan were discussed at the session. The theme of discussion was chosen on the assumption that the Club members were interested in equity market and its development perspectives first of all. G. Babaev wished successes to Caspian Finance, Banking & Insurance Club and spoke about 10-years history of Securities market's formation.
