REGULATIONS AND OBJECTIVES
The Caspian Integration Business Club is a large and dynamically developing organization uniting more than 500 companies and organizations from 30 countries of the world working (or having intentions to work) in the Caspian and Black Sea region.
CIBC was established in June 2002 under support of the largest oil-and-gas companies and active participation of IPH Caspian Energy.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Heydar oglu Aliyev (that times the first Vice-President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) has been the honorary CIBC Chairman since 2002.
Incumbent CIBC Co-Chairmen are:
- Natig Agaamiyevich Aliyev, the Minister of Industry & Energy of Azerbaijan from the side of Azerbaijan,
- Vladimir Sergeyevich Shkolnik, the Minister of Industry & Energy of Kazakhstan from the side of Kazakhstan,
- Victor Borisovich Khristenko, the Minister of Energy & Industry from the side of Russia,
- Telman Eldar oglu Aliyev, the President and CEO
Caspian Business Alliance LLC currently functions as the managing company that arranges the activity of the Club. CIBC is headquartered in Baku, the only coast-based capital of the Caspian region.
The primary objective of CIBC is to create conditions on the informational level to work out a common programme on such matters as economics, politics, power economy, customs, taxes, environmental protection, etc, to implement various information projects of regional significance and support the dialogue between government institutions and the private sector.
There are similar branch structures within the Club:
- Caspian Energy Club,
- Caspian Investment Club,
- Caspian IT & Communication Club,
- Caspian Construction & Furniture Club,
- Caspian Finance Club,
- Caspian Transport Club,
- Caspian Tourism & Travel Club,
- Caspian Agriculture & Food production Club,
- Caspian Machine-Building & Metallurgy Club, etc.
CIBC members are divided into honorary, active and associative.
Honorary members have widest powers and authorities to plan arrangements and other information activity of the Club.
Active members have the following privileges:
- Subscription to all publications issued within the frame of Caspian Energy International Publishing House, subscription (e-version) to weekly economic journal Caspian Energy Investor, placement of information about the company on 1/4 page of Caspian Energy magazine,
- placement of information about the company on the site of the Club,
- participation in surveys to choose nominees for Caspian Energy Integration Award,
- 40-45-percent discount for placement of information and advertisement in publications of Caspian Energy IPH,
- the opportunity to make presentations twice a year during arrangements of the Club,
- the right to elect and be elected heads of branch clubs,
- to participate in all arrangements of the Club,
- the right to vote during discussions and taking important decisions within CIBC.
CIBC associative members have the following privileges:
- Subscription to all publications issued within the frame of Caspian Energy International Publishing House, subscription (e-version) to weekly economic journal Caspian Energy Investor, placement of information about the company on the site of the Club,
- participation in voting to choose nominees for Caspian Energy Integration Award,
- 30-percent discount for placement of information and advertisement in publications of Caspian Energy IPH,
- the opportunity to make a presentation once a year,
- do not have the right to elect or be elected heads of branch clubs.
Presentation of Caspian Energy Integration Award is annually held within CIBC; solely members of the Club participate in the awarding ceremony.
